There is no compulsory timeline
Being curious does not oblige you to start a relationship. You can want company while also needing quiet. Instead of looking for a date by which you should be ready, consider what kind of meeting appeals to you today and how much space you want for yourself.
Three questions before a next step
Answer for your current life, without comparing it with your friends’ lives. There is no score or correct answer.
| Question | Something to notice |
|---|---|
| What would I like to share? | A conversation, a walk, an activity or getting to know someone gradually. |
| What pace feels comfortable? | How often you actually want messages and meetings. |
| What do I want to keep for myself? | Your routines, friendships, rest time and privacy. |
Try a step you can change
If you want to, suggest a short meeting around a simple activity. Afterwards, write down what you enjoyed, what felt uncomfortable and what you would like to understand better. Choose your next step with that information, without feeling that one date commits you to more.
What if I change my mind?
You can say so clearly and respectfully. Feeling excited does not oblige you to continue, and one good conversation does not prove lasting compatibility. This exercise is about listening to your preferences, not predicting when a relationship will arrive.
