What is this stone?
Citrine is yellow-to-orange quartz. Much commercial citrine is heat-treated amethyst; treatment does not by itself mean the material is glass.
A meaning you can make your own
If you like the idea of an “abundance stone”, turn it into a visible reminder of a habit you control. Set a budget, review a recurring expense or prepare a question about work. Citrine does not generate income or guarantee luck.
How to care for it
- Clean a suitable known piece with warm soapy water.
- Avoid steam, strong heat and abrupt temperature changes.
- Avoid prolonged intense light, which can affect some pieces.
Before you buy
Ask whether the color is natural or produced by treatment and request that information in writing. Compare similar size, finish and disclosure. Color alone cannot prove origin, and “untreated” should not be assumed from a photograph.
